Canada’s Research In Motion Ltd said it will offer free premium apps worth more than $100, in a bid to appease its customers following BlackBerry service disruption last week.
Research In Motion said the complete selection of premium apps will become available to download at BlackBerry App World for four weeks beginning Oct. 19.
The company also said enterprise customers will be offered one month of free technical support.
“We’ve worked hard to earn their (customers’) trust over the past 12 years and we’re committed to providing the high standard of reliability they expect,” RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis said in a statement.
Lazaridis also said the company is taking immediate steps to prevent future service disruptions.
