Willis Re Canada Appoints Bradshaw as Board Chairman

November 23, 2011

Willis Re Canada marked the completion of its first full year of operations in the country with the announcement of the appointment of Jim Bradshaw as Chairman of the Willis Re Canada Board.

He is also the CEO of Willis Re North America, and replaces Steve Hearn, CEO, Willis Re, as Chairman of the Canadian Board.

Willis also said that in order to “enhance further connectivity between Willis Re Canada and the wider international Willis Re operations, Warren Neale, a London-based Managing Director of Willis Re, has also been appointed to the Board.” He specializes in “European and South African reinsurance programs and is experienced in the placement of coverage for global insurers with Canadian operations.

“Willis Re opened its first office in Toronto, Canada in September 2010, and, under the leadership of Executive Vice President Robert Wildbore, the business has experienced solid growth. Wildbore will report in to Neale, and will continue to lead the office with the goal of growing the business through the local delivery of Willis Re’s global resources and the hiring of outstanding talent.”

Hearn praised Wildbore’s “excellent job planting Willis Re firmly on the ground in Canada. Our first year there has shown us the size of opportunity, and to capitalize on this we are bolstering our presence and reconfirming our commitment to our local clients by bringing in some of our most experienced people, Jim and Warren, to sit on the Canadian Board.”
