Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of BenefitLink Resource Group, Inc., in Calgary, Canada.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The bulletin said BenefitLink was established in 2001, as an employee benefits insurance broker and consultant, providing “a full range of group employee benefits and pension products and services to their clients throughout Canada.
“They also design, implement, communicate and help manage their clients’ group insurance and retirement savings programs,” specializing in “the energy, energy service and transportation industries.
“Kevin Rome and his associates will continue to operate at their current location under the direction of William Ziebell, Regional Executive Vice President of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations,” said the announcement.
Chairman, President and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. noted: “BenefitLink Resource Group is our first employee benefits acquisition in Canada, and we are particularly excited to be expanding there with an organization that’s highly regarded for their expertise and client service.
“Their depth of industry experience, insurance provider relationships and geographic presence will be wonderful complements to our employee benefits operation. We are extremely pleased to welcome Kevin and his colleagues to our growing Gallagher family of professionals.”
