Mexico Broker AER Joins Brokerslink in Expansion Move

April 17, 2014

Independent insurance broker network Brokerslink announced that it has gained a new member in the key Monterrey corporate market in Mexico with the addition of broker AER as a member.

Brokerslink’s bulletin described Monterrey as a “key corporate market in Mexico and one of the most importance business cities in Latin America as the headquarters for a large number of multinationals are based in the region.

“In addition, over the past decade Mexico’s technology industry, a substantial part of which is located in the north of Mexico and Monterrey, has grown at triple the average global rate.

“AER joins Brokerslink de Mexico, which now brings together the expertise of four independent retail brokers (Lorantms, AARCO, PIMSA, AER), a reinsurance broker (Cooper Gay Martinez de Río y Asociados) and a risk and business consultant (Rainmaker) into a unique efficient virtual team to handle Brokerslink related business in the country.”

The bulletin explained that an executive committee comprising “the key executives of each firm and Paul Bitner, Managing Director of Brokerslink, coordinates joint business development initiatives and decides how to best handle incoming and outgoing business. The combination of these firms provides wide territorial spread, high level service capability and a significant volume of premium placed with insurers in Mexico.

Bitner commented: “Since its formation in 2012 Brokerslink de Mexico has won major accounts and performed exceptionally well. However, while Monterrey was covered by an original member, we felt this key market with its strong links to North America deserved the dedicated support of a locally headquartered retail specialist. With AER joining as a member we are now in an excellent position to win and service even more corporate clients on the ground in Monterrey.”

AER’s CEO Federico Valdes added: “We have been watching Brokerslink with interest and felt it was the time right to integrate our extensive Monterrey experience to the group. We believe that our association with Brokerslink combined with our resources and knowledge will enable us to win an increased share of this vibrant market and provide and exceptional service to our combined clients.”
