Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Names Execs for New Hong Kong Facility

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced that it has received an insurance license to carry on all classes of General Business in and from Hong Kong and has consequently filled several key positions in its newly established office. Recently appointed President of Asia, Marc Breuil, is also based in the new office.

BHSI’s President Peter Eastwood said: “We are pleased to commence operations in one of the world’s premier insurance marketplaces. With a stellar leadership team, a highly experienced underwriting group, and a strong balance sheet, we are well equipped to provide sound, sustainable insurance solutions to meet the needs of brokers and customers in Hong Kong.”

BHSI announced the following appointments in its Hong Kong office:

Ricky Ho – Senior Vice President, Casualty. He joins BHSI with more than 30 years of insurance industry experience spanning both underwriting and claims.

Kai Tse – CFO & COO, Asia. He comes to BHSI with more than 20 years of experience in numerous leadership roles in insurance, banking, private equity and risk financing and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Roseline Liu – Vice President, Casualty. She brings over two decades of experience specializing in casualty insurance to BHSI.

Rounding out the new Hong Kong based team are Irene Li, Assistant Vice President, Casualty and Ophelia Szeto, Assistant Vice President, Property & Terrorism.
