Allianz Group’s AGCS Names Fellows Head of Market Management Canada

Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) announced that Robert J. Fellows has been named head of market management for Canada, effective January 4, 2016. Based in Toronto, he will report directly to Ulrich Kadow, chief agent for Canada.

In this new role, Fellows is responsible for overall global broker management as well as distribution and client management. “AGCS Canada is one of the country’s largest industrial insurance carriers and is positioned for continued growth within multiple lines of business,” the company said in a statement.

“AGCS Canada is most fortunate to welcome an executive of Bob’s caliber to take our client service to the next level, offering innovative solutions while further strengthening customer loyalty,” said Kadow. “He will serve as an excellent navigator and facilitator, providing clients with the right product at the right time – from middle market solutions to complex international programs – with the support of the Allianz global network.”

Fellows is a respected senior executive offering more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector and a proven track record of profitability and growth, AGCS said. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, distribution and regional management for Zurich, Canada. Prior to this, he was president and chief agent for Travelers Canada. Fellows also sits on the Board of the Insurance Institute of Ontario and is a member of its Governing Council.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Bishop’s University in Quebec, a Master of Business Administration from York University in Toronto and holds an Associate (AIIC) designation level from the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC).
