Bermuda-based AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd. announced its London office will be among the first commercial tenants in “The Scalpel,” a 36-story tower located at 52 Lime Street, adjacent to Lloyd’s of London.
AXIS said it has taken 31,500 square feet on levels two and three in the building. Currently located at 60 Great Tower Street, the company will complete its relocation to The Scalpel in 2018.
“By moving to The Scalpel, we will provide our employees and clients with the benefits of maintaining an office in a world-class facility that is within steps of Lloyd’s of London,” said Mark Gregory, CEO of AXIS Insurance’s International Division. “This move speaks to the continued growth of AXIS Capital’s UK operations and our deep commitment to the London market.”
