July 30, 2018

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Stefania Davì-Greer to head of Financial Lines for Regional Unit London (RUL). Based in London, Davì-Greer will join in October with responsibility for the strategic direction and management of AGCS’ financial lines portfolio throughout the RUL Region, which includes UK, Ireland, Nordic Region, Dubai, Turkey and Russia.

Davì-Greer joins Allianz from AIG where she was head of Multinational within the Financial Lines UK department. She joined AIG in 2011 as industry practice leader for Financial Institutions UK and subsequently went on to lead the International D&O team. Davì-Greer’s insurance career began in 2002 with Credit Suisse Winterthur, based in Italy as a business development analyst for the head of distribution. She then worked in global broking firms Willis and Aon in increasingly senior roles within their financial lines departments.

Davì-Greer holds an MSc in Business Administration from Bocconi Business School (Milan, Italy).

“Staying innovative is critical to ensuring we craft tailored solutions for our partners and clients,” said Sinéad Browne, chief regions & markets officer and member of the board of management. “Stefania will play a key role in product development and leading underwriting initiatives that will drive growth in the future. Stefania is also a high-profile spokesperson for diversity and inclusion in the insurance industry which will continue to be a key focus for us going forward.”

Davì-Greer replaces Kevin Northcott, who as previously announced, returns to his native New Zealand to become AGCS country manager. AGCS is expanding its business model across the Asia-Pacific region, including in New Zealand. Kevin Northcott will be responsible for pushing further growth.
