MS Amlin Appoints Pearce from Old Mutual as CFO

April 29, 2019

MS Amlin, the global re/insurer, announced the appointment of Iain Pearce to the role of chief financial officer. Pearce will join the business on June 3, 2019, forming part of the executive team and reporting to Simon Beale, CEO.

The role is subject to regulatory approval.

MS Amlin said the appointment follows a series of strategic senior hires made by the business over the past 12 months to further strengthen its leadership team.

Pearce joins from Old Mutual plc, the FTSE100 financial services group, where he held a number of senior finance positions over a 15-year tenure. Most recently, he held the position of finance director, reporting to Old Mutual plc’s chief executive. Having trained with KPMG for the first 10 years of his career, Pearce has led a number of large transformation projects and strategic initiatives, and brings a wealth of experience to MS Amlin, said the company in a statement.

John Worth, the current CFO, will be moving onto other opportunities within the industry. The statement from MS Amlin thanked Worth “for his hard work and valuable contributions to the company.”

“I am delighted that Iain will be joining MS Amlin’s senior leadership team, bringing with him an extensive and proven track record from leading global financial services firms,” said Simon Beale, CEO of MS Amlin.

“We continue to implement our strategy of repositioning MS Amlin for a sustainable, profitable future, and I look forward to working closely with Iain to consolidate and build on progress made this year.”
