Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Bianca Willauer as head Property & Specialty Lines, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective Feb. 1, 2020.
In this role, Willauer will be responsible for the development and underwriting performance of Property & Specialty portfolios throughout EMEA. Based in Munich, she will oversee the General Property, Mining & Energy and Engineering & Construction portfolios.
Willauer has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial insurance sector and has held various leadership roles in underwriting, risk management and finance with Allianz where she worked between January 2003 to December 2017, according to her LinkedIn profile. Over the past two years, she took a sabbatical on the Camino de Santiago Francés, her profile said.
Willauer holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and an MBA from WHU, Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany.
