Price Forbes’ Gilmore Appointed Chairman of Worldwide Broker Network

The Worldwide Broker Network has appointed Price Forbes Executive Director Alex Gilmore as chairman.

Gilmore previously served as WBN’s Treasurer. He takes over the voluntary position of chairman from Jim Watt of EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, who will continue to serve on the executive committee.

Gilmore is responsible for Price Forbes’ Asia Pacific regional strategy as well as continuing to advise some major clients in that region. He is also a member of Price Forbes executive committee and director of Sino Insurance Brokers HK, in which Price Forbes holds a minority stake. (Price Forbes is headquartered in London).

“It’s a real honour to chair the Worldwide Broker Network. My immediate priority is keeping the membership connected until we can be together in person again,” said Gilmore.

“We couldn’t hold our global conference in Colorado Springs at the end of April but delivered 17 virtual sessions. Several thousand people watched online, and we’re looking at ways to learn from those digital experiences,” he added.

“Over the course of my chairmanship I want to continue to make sure we are strong in every continent and continue to compete globally. With Asia on course to be the largest insurance market in five to 10 years, the focus will be on making sure our membership there is as strong as possible.”
