February 19, 2021

Ensurance, the London-based specialty managing general agent, has announced a new capacity deal with AXA Insurance UK plc for its core construction and engineering products. AXA replaces Swiss Re as the MGA’s main capacity provider, effective from Feb. 1, 2021.

The deal provides “AA” rated capacity to Ensurance. The level of capacity provided by AXA was not disclosed.

“This is a landmark deal for Ensurance. We have worked hard building our business over the past 3 years, growing our underwriting team, our range of products and reputation within the market. “Our brokers can be assured that this new arrangement maintains our position as a go to MGA for UK construction and engineering risk solutions, backed by exceptional rated capacity,” he said.

As well as its core construction and engineering risks, Ensurance also provides products covering engineering inspection, cyber, terrorism and sabotage, and active assailant. Ensurance launched in 2017 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian-based Ensurance Ltd.
