Lockton Names WTW’s Danyluk as Head Int’l Property in Wholesale P/C

Lockton, the world’s largest privately owned independent insurance broker, has appointed Andrzej Danyluk as head of International Property within the Wholesale Property & Casualty (P/C) division.

In his new role in London, Danyluk will be responsible for developing and growing the international property portfolio of clients in close collaboration with Lockton’s international offices and partners.

Danyluk joins from Willis Towers Watson (WTW), where he led the international property team in Great Britain. Prior to working for WTW, Danyluk spent almost four years at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), where he latterly served as head of the Power and Renewable Energy Broking team.

At Lockton, Danyluk is set to expand the strong international property portfolio in London, reporting into Simon Scholfield, head of Wholesale P/C. He will work in close partnership with Lockton’s rapidly growing international offices to support both new and existing clients.

HSB Promotes Prentice to Cyber Product Lead

Specialist engineering and technology insurer HSB has appointed Mathew Prentice as cyber product lead.

Based in Birmingham, England, and reporting to Andy Bazley, underwriting strategy manager, Prentice will be responsible for the development and implementation of HSB’s underwriting strategy for the computer and cyber account.

Prentice will be focused on the overall underwriting strategy for HSB’s computer and cyber portfolio and the growth of the account as part of HSB’s strategic priorities.

He was promoted from his previous role of senior underwriter at HSB, having joined the company as an underwriter in 2014 from Aviva.

A subsidiary of Munich Re, HSB is a specialist insurer and provider of inspection and risk management services. HSB’s insurance offerings in the UK and Ireland include construction, equipment breakdown, cyber and computer, and energy covers. HSB blends its engineering expertise, technology and data to craft inventive insurance and service solutions for existing and emerging risks posed by technological change.

Castel Hires Apollo’s Ker to New Role of Head of Performance

Castel Underwriting Agencies Ltd., announced the appointment of Doug Ker to the newly created role of head of performance.

Ker will be responsible for working with the firm’s underwriting cells to enhance profitability. He will work across Castel’s UK and European regulated businesses.

He joins Castel from Apollo Syndicate Management where he was underwriting business partner overseeing underwriting governance and business development. He has more than 15 years’ insurance and reinsurance industry experience and was previously head of international underwriting operations with Aspen.
