People Moves: Chubb Promotes Walker to Head of Aerospace; Fidelis Names Stewart, Davern as Co-Deputy CUOs, Bellamy as Head of Property Reinsurance

Chubb Promotes Walker to Head of Aerospace

Chubb announced the promotion of Emma Walker as head of Aerospace for Chubb Global Markets, Chubb’s London Market wholesale and specialty business, including the company’s Lloyd’s platform.

In this role, Walker will be responsible for managing and developing the growth of Chubb’s global aerospace portfolio of aircraft manufacturers, airports and service providers.

Walker, who was previously senior underwriter, Aviation, EMEA, will report to Robert Wilson, chief underwriting officer for Chubb Global Markets and active underwriter of Chubb’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 2488. She will be based in London and the appointment is effective immediately.

Since she joined Chubb in 2006 as an assistant underwriter, Walker has held a variety of underwriting and management roles across the business. Prior to that she spent six years broking aviation risks in the London Market.

Fidelis Names Stewart, Davern as Co-Deputy CUOs, Bellamy as Head of Property Reinsurance

Fidelis Insurance has announced three promotions: Kayley Stewart to co-deputy chief underwriting officer for Fidelis Underwriting Ltd. (FUL) and head of Crisis Management and Michael Davern to co-deputy FUL CUO and head of direct & facultative (D&F) and Energy. In addition, Matthew Bellamy has also been promoted to the role of head of Property Reinsurance.

“Matt has been instrumental in constructing our London reinsurance portfolio, which initially focused on North American property cat but has more recently expanded into other reinsurance lines and territories.
