Howden, the London-based international insurance broker, announced that further to its merger with Malene Insurance Brokers in February 2019, Malene will operate as Howden Takaful Brokers, a fully dedicated Takaful specialist.
Howden Takaful Brokers’ team of 30 specialists offers bespoke shariah-compliant solutions across Howden’s product range. They sit alongside Howden’s other broking teams and will offer clients seamless access to bespoke Takaful solutions in specialty, reinsurance and retail lines, the company said in a statement.
This fully dedicated Takaful specialist reinforces Howden’s commitment to respond to the growing demand for Islamic driven solutions and providing a strong foundation for growth in Asia, according to Howden.
Ismam Shahrin Ismail, CEO, Howden Takaful Brokers, reiterated the benefits of being part of a large international broker.
