Marsh Inc. Welcomes Four New Executives to Kansas City Office

Marsh Inc. announced it has hired four new professionals at its Kansas City office.

John Puetz accepted the position of managing director and head of office. Puetz’s experience is in value-based risk management techniques. Puetz leads a team of specialists who provide program design, placement and related advisory services in the property, casualty, international and employee benefit areas. Puetz joined Marsh in 1993 as a client executive n the Chicago office. He was instrumental in establishing industry group practices in the Midwest and was appointed the insurance services division leader for the Midwest partnership. In 1999, he transferred to Houston to become the middle market practice leader and in 2000 was named managing director and head of the office risk management practice.

Also stepping on board is J. Renee Cherry. Cherry was named assistant vice president and senior consultant in the employee benefits division. With over 13 years of experience in medical and ancillary coverages, Cherry has worked successfully in personal sales, marketing and client consulting on a national level with large employers. Cherry’s vast experience includes all lines of employee benefits including medical, alternate funding arrangements, dental, vision, ancillary group, voluntary and individual products, section 125 plans and vendor management.

Karen Johnson joins Marsh Kansas City as a vice president in charge of the employee benefits group. Transferring from Marsh’s sister organization, William M. Mercer, Johnson brings 17 years of experience in a variety of roles in health care and employee benefits services. Johnson also brings a broad range of industry knowledge with particularly strong skills in guiding employers through a strategic planning process that links benefit decisions with the overall business strategy.

The new middle market practice leader in Marsh’s Kansas City Office will be Scott Davis. Davis comes from the Houston office of Marsh where he was a senior client executive. Davis has responsibility for the development, servicing and marketing oversight of middle market property, casualty and employment benefit clients. Davis specializes in holistic risk evaluation and offers extensive experience in technology, telecommunications and infrastructure projects.

Marsh Inc. provides worldwide insurance and reinsurance services as broker, agent or consultant. The company also designs, distributes and administers a wide range of insurance and financial products and services.
