Acuity said Friday that it will begin writing insurance in Kansas effective Jan. 1.
The Sheboygan, Wis.-based insurer said consumers may receive policy premium quotes from independent agents who represent Acuity starting Dec. 1.
With 800 employees and $1.6 billion in assets, Acuity operates in 14 Midwestern states, writing $750 million in insurance premiums a year through more than 700 independent agencies.
