Michigan-based Meadowbrook Insurance Group recently announced the availability of a medical malpractice liability insurance product for preferred physicians in Ohio.

Insurance policies will be issued through Meadowbrook’s subsidiary insurance carrier, Savers Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Inc., which specializes in writing insurance programs for professional and trade groups and provides all lines of property and casualty insurance.

Coverage is provided on a claims-made policy form with retroactive

The policy contains a consent to settle clause for the insured physician. Other policy features include: claims-free credits, new-to-practice credits, locum tenens, and part-time credits.

This insurance product is available to preferred physicians in Ohio
through MRMS Risk Purchasing Group, a part of Medical Risk Management Services, Inc. Founded in 2000, the Purchasing Group provides its members with access to an excess and surplus lines insurance product, as outlined in the Risk Retention Act of 1986.
