Wausau Signature Agency Unveils New Employee Benefit Division

Wisconsin-based Wausau Signature Agency has unveiled its new
Employee Benefits Division with comprehensive sales, marketing and service capabilities to fully complement its traditionally-strong property and casualty products and services.

Rod Flanders has been named as the WSA vice president-Employee Benefits. He will head a new team, which will grow over time to include eight to ten agents plus support staff. The existing WSA group benefits unit in the upper Midwest will fold into the new Employee Benefits Division.

The benefits of a dedicated Employee Benefits Division within WSA,
include:

Making it easier for clients to do business with WSA by providing
better service to those customers who are demanding group and
retirement products;

Making WSA more competitive with other agencies that offer employee benefits services, including online resources;

Increasing the level of group benefits expertise will enable WSA to
market and sell these products more effectively;

Meeting the demands from clients who want to purchase employee
benefits services from the same agency, but want to work with an employee benefits expert;

Flanders has been with Wausau for more than 22 years, most recently as WSA vice president-Sales Training, Reporting and Remuneration. He joined Wausau Insurance Companies in 1984, and has held several positions of increasing responsibility within Wausau Insurance and more recently with WSA. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, Chartered Life Underwriter
and Associate in Risk Management professional designations.
