Insurer Group Presents 2006 Service Awards

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies presented 2006 Service Awards at its annual business meeting held this week in Tampa, Fla.

The five recepients included Midwesterner Terry Wendorff, CPCU, president & CEO, WRC Group of Companies; Madison, Wis.

According to the NAMIC release,Terry plays a vital role for farm mutual companies in Wisconsin, Arkansas, South Dakota and Iowa as president of Wisconsin Reinsurance Co., a farm mutual reinsurer. He has provided valuable assistance and information to NAMIC and its members in interpreting policy matters that affect farm mutual companies, including work on both the small company tax issue and TRIA. His professional experience ranges from agent to farm mutual manager to the reinsurance industry to his present position.

Additional recepients were: Herman Bontrager, president and CEO, Goodville Mutual Casualty Co. New Holland, Pa.; Arthur Meadows, CEO, Panhandle Farmers Mutual Insurance Co., Moundsville, W. Va.;
Kevin Meskell, executive vice president, Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Co., Quincy, Mass.;John K. Smith, CPCU, CRM, CIC, president, Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Co., Philadelphia, Pa.; Terry Wendorff, CPCU, president & CEO, WRC Group of Companies; Madison, Wis.

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) identifes itself as a full-service national trade association serving the property/casualty insurance industry with more than 1,400 member companies that underwrite more than 40 percent of the property/casualty insurance premium in the United States.
