Mich. Burns & Wilcox Adds Director of Corporate Communications

Burns & Wilcox announced today that Laura Vultaggio has joined the company as director of corporate communications.

Vultaggio is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for internal and external communications, including media relations, branding and executive communications. A 15-year veteran in the communications field, Vultaggio is filling a new position for the company.

Most recently Vultaggio was manager of corporate communications at Visteon Corp., where she was responsible for the company’s internal and executive communications. Before joining Visteon, Vultaggio was the Web communications manager at Federal-Mogul responsible for developing the company’s internal and external Web strategy as well as serving as media liaison.

From 1994-2002, she held various positions at MSX International with her last one being corporate communications manager. In this role, she was responsible for global internal communications, Web strategy and public relations. She has been a member of the International Association of Business Communicators since 1991.

Burns & Wilcox identifies itself as the largest independently owned managing general insurance agent in North America, with more than 860 employees nationwide. The Farmington Hills, Mich.-based company serves more than 30,000 agents through its network of 38 offices in 25 states.
