Main Street America Introduces Personal Auto, Property Product to Grain Dealers Agents in Indiana

January 20, 2011

The Main Street America Group has introduced its Personal Auto MVP property and liability product via its network of nearly 100 Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Company independent insurance agents throughout Indiana.

Super regional property/casualty insurance carrier Main Street America closed its affiliation with regional carrier Grain Dealers Mutual in November 2009. The affiliation has enabled Main Street America to expand its geographic diversification into Indiana and several other Midwest states. Personal Auto MVP is the first Main Street America product being made available to Grain Dealers Mutual agents in the Hoosier State.

Personal Auto MVP is based on multivariate rating methodology, which generates many rating tiers and billions of price points, enabling a precise match between risk and rate.

Personal Auto MVP provides traditional auto coverages, including collision, comprehensive, and property damage and bodily injury liability, as well as uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Further, policyholders can expand the breadth and depth of their insurance with MVP Auto Elite, an endorsement package with three levels of coverage. Platinum is the most comprehensive endorsement, providing a wide range of coverages, such as accident forgiveness, trip interruption and disappearing deductible. All three levels include 24-hour roadside assistance.

Policyholders also have the option of purchasing an Identity Fraud Expense Coverage Endorsement, which will automatically provide up to $15,000 of coverage for expenses incurred from identity fraud and identity theft resolution services.

Grain Dealers Mutual agents also have access to Main Street America’s Main Street Station personal lines policy processing system, which they will use to quote and issue new personal auto policies.

The system provides agents with the ability to quote and issue policies in one process, from one central place. It features real-time rating, automated underwriting and the capability to execute “what if” quoting.

This summer, Main Street America plans to launch its full line of commercial products to its Grain Dealers Mutual Indiana customers, in conjunction with its Main Street Station commercial lines policy processing system.
