On Jan. 31, 2013, the 167 independent insurance agencies representing Fremont Insurance Co. presented Richard E. Dunning with a special recognition for his contributions and service as retiring CEO of Fremont Insurance Co.
In his honor, a donation was also made to the United Way of Lakeshore – Newaygo County in the amount of $8,270.
During the presentation of the award, Wayne Blackwell of Blackwell Insurance Services said: “Dick has been a supporter and proponent of the independent insurance agency system and truly understands the unique value created by the relationship between company, agent and policyholder.”
The Fremont, Mich.-based, company provides property and casualty insurance to individuals, farms and small businesses.
Fremont Michigan InsuraCorp Inc., the holding company of Fremont Insurance, was acquired by Auto Club Insurance Association in 2011.
