Freiman Joins Risk International as Senior Consultant

Risk International, based in Fairlawn, Ohio, announced that Mark Freiman has joined the outsourced risk management provider as a senior consultant. He will contribute his nearly 20 years of group benefits consulting experiences to the company’s newly launched Benefits Advisory Services.

Freiman served previously as assistant director of Pricing Analytics for the Cleveland Clinic, where he provided actuarial and financial support to the 70,000 member employee health plan. He served as the in-house expert on the Affordable Care Act and led the analytics team in modeling the impact of the Health Insurance Exchanges on hospital revenue.

His career experiences also include seven years as a senior analyst at Oswald Companies, a regional insurance brokerage. Prior to Oswald Companies, Freiman was the manager of Pension Services at The Center for Health Affairs. He also spent five years as a pension actuary at a global consulting firm.

Freiman holds the designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS), and currently serves as president for the Northeast Ohio chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (ISCEBS). He has successfully completed five Society of Actuaries Exams and was recognized in 2006 as one of the Top 25 Movers and Shakers of Northeast Ohio by the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club.
