EH Nolkemper Insurance Agency in Columbia, Ill., led by Steven Straub, has merged with St. Louis, Missouri-based The Daniel & Henry Co.
The EH Nolkemper team will join one of The Daniel & Henry Co.’s transportation insurance practice groups and will focus on improving services for existing and prospective trucking clients.
The Daniel & Henry Co., founded in St. Louis in 1921, is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the country with nearly 200 insurance professionals across its three offices in St. Louis, Chicago and Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The EH Nolkemper Agency has solely focused on the trucking industry since it was founded in 1937. Steven Straub purchased EH Nolkemper in 2014 and merged it with his company, Motor Carrier Insurors, which was founded in 1955 by his father, Oscar Straub.
The Daniel & Henry Co. was founded by Carl P. Daniel and Jesse P. Henry. The two founders shared a vison to build a full-service insurance agency where groups of individual brokers could share resources and benefit from a collaborative experience. In addition to the transportation industry, The Daniel & Henry Company serves many industries by providing insurance and risk management programs, employee benefits, personal insurance, bonds, and alternative risk transfer strategies.
