Prospect General Insurance Agency (Prospect General) has launched its admitted residential flood insurance product, Flood Guard, in Illinois.
Written through Palomar Specialty Insurance Co., Flood Guard provides residential flood coverage as an alternative to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Flood Guard offers coverage enhancements relative to the NFIP, with dwelling coverage up to $5 million and personal property coverage up to $1 million.
Flood Guard is also available in California, Oregon, Arizona and Utah, and will continue to expand into additional states through 2018.
Prospect General Insurance Agency is a program administrator based in La Jolla, California. It operates nationally and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Palomar Insurance Holdings.
