Iowa’s Holmes Murphy Adds Stewart, McCumber to Leadership Team

Des Moines, Iowa-based independent insurance brokerage Holmes Murphy & Associates has added Tom Stewart, president of Innovative Captive Strategies (a Holmes Murphy subsidiary) and Charisse McCumber, senior vice president, to its board of directors.

In a statement, Holmes Murphy Chairman and CEO Dan Keough said Stewart and McCumber “have each made tremendous contributions to the growth of Holmes Murphy, and I’m excited to see how they transform in their new roles.”

In his role as president of Innovative Captive Strategies, Stewart manages profitability and recruitment, develops internal structure and organization, secures new agency partners, and maintains the overall strength of ICS staff and services.

McCumber currently serves as a senior vice president and chief consultant for Holmes Murphy Employee Benefits leading the strategy and expertise for clients in all offices. She also serves as the executive advisor for Holmes Murphy’s subsidiary company, ACAP Health, and is the lead strategist for several key customers.

Holmes Murphy & Associates has a presence in 10 other markets across the nation, in addition to its locations in Des Moines (headquarters) and Dallas.
