Alera Group, a national employee benefits, property/casualty, risk management and wealth management firm based in Deerfield, Illinois, has acquired Courtney Group, located in Highland Park, Illinois.
Courtney Group provides property/ casualty insurance products and services to clients in Chicago and the surrounding North Shore area. Courtney Group will join Alera Group through local firm GCG Financial.
Alera announced the acquisition of three other new firms: Dickerson Employee Benefits Inc., in Los Angeles; Benefit Plan Strategies (BPS), in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Strategic Employee Benefit Services of Pittsburgh (SEBS), in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The acquisitions, effective May 1, expand Alera Group to more than 65 locations nationwide.
Terms of the transactions were not announced.
