Managing general agency and surplus lines broker J.M. Wilson has promoted Sherry Ihling to executive brokerage underwriter in its Portage, Michigan, office.
Ihling is responsible for underwriting new and renewal accounts with a focus on environmental and allied health and maintains strong relationships with carriers and independent agents. With an increased level of product knowledge, she is a resource to other underwriters and is a leader in her department.
Ihling has been with J.M. Wilson for 13 years and has 23 years of industry experience. Prior to her promotion, she was a senior brokerage underwriter.

She has a Michigan property/casualty license and has earned the CISR (certified insurance sales representative) designation.
