Illinois Insurance Agents Group Launches New Pre-Licensing Program

August 19, 2019

The Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program, an education training program operated by the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL), is now available for Illinois professionals looking to enter the insurance industry and for agencies and companies looking to add talent to their organization.

The agents association said the program was developed to fill a void in the industry: a quality pre-licensing program that not only equips an individual to pass the exam, but also prepares them to begin a successful career in the industry.

The Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program instructors are experts who have crafted a quality pre-licensing course that is up to date, interactive, and specifically applicable to situations that students might encounter as insurance agents in Illinois. The program materials were built by professionals with 30-plus years of experience in selling and regulating insurance, one of which, Brett Gerger, spent 25 years with the Illinois Department of Insurance and developed the test with Pearson Vue during his tenure.

The Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program will benefit a new hire far beyond taking the test for licensure. The instructors provide valuable insights into the industry which will help ensure a long and fruitful career as an insurance agent.

Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program sessions will keep students engaged while providing the necessary tools to pass the test and the confidence and knowledge that is invaluable to an insurance career. This new program has been structured to promote knowledge retention, not memorization.

Classes are currently being held in Springfield and Rolling Meadows with additional dates and locations to be added. More information on the Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program can be found at www.ILPrelicensing.com.
