H.W. Kaufman Adds Lefchik to Expand Node International in North America

H.W. Kaufman Group, a global network of companies, has expanded Node International’s North American presence with the addition of Matthew Lefchik.

Lefchik joins Node International as director, Cyber Risk Management Services.

As director, Lefchik manages Node’s growth across North America, setting strategic direction for the United States and Canada. Utilizing his deep expertise within the cyber and privacy insurance marketplace, paired with his technical knowledge of operational cyber security risks and best practices, Lefchik is responsible for developing new product and service offerings to better meet client needs.

Lefchik reports to David Derigiotis, corporate senior vice president, H.W. Kaufman Group.

With more than 16 years of experience, Lefchik is widely recognized for his extensive cyber and privacy expertise and results-driven achievements. He most recently served as the global director of Strategic Partnerships and Sales for Avertium, where he executed a multi-million-dollar portfolio in channel program sales and cultivated strategic partnerships to enhance cross-selling, margin centric programs.

Maxwell Barry, associate underwriter, Detroit/Farmington Hills, Michigan, also joins Node and reports to Lefchik.

Node International is a managing general agent recognized for its expertise in cyber-risk and technology-related insurance solutions. CEO Neil Gurnhill founded the United Kingdom-based company in 2017 after decades providing comprehensive services in technology, legal risk reduction and enhanced cyber-risk insurance coverage.

Node International was acquired by Michigan-based H.W. Kaufman Group in 2019, where Gurnhill continues to lead operations, promoting the collaborative nature within the Kaufman network. Node International joins H.W. Kaufman London alongside Chesterfield Group, Lochain Patrick and Cranbrook Underwriting.
