Kraus-Anderson Insurance in Burnsville, Minn., has promoted Jon Diessner to executive vice president.
Diessner will oversee the agency’s property/casualty, employee benefits and surety operations, and Kraus-Anderson Risk Innovation, the agency’s risk consulting practice.
He has served as vice president of operations since June 2019. As a third-generation member of the family owned, diversified Kraus-Anderson enterprise, Diessner’s leadership has impacted the success of KA Insurance and its clients, driving the agency to new growth at the privately held insurance agency.
Diessner began his career with Kraus-Anderson Realty in 2009 as an assistant property manager. In 2011, he moved to KA Insurance as a property/casualty producer, where he managed new business development and client relationship management. In 2017 Diessner was promoted to director of operations, and in 2019 he was promoted to vice president of operations, where he managed the agency’s strategic planning, agency administration and project management.
He serves on the advisory board for Kraus-Anderson Insurance and the board of directors of Kraus-Anderson Companies. A construction risk insurance specialist, Deissner was named the 2018 Young Agent of the Year by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association (MIIAB). He serves on the Burnsville Chamber board of directors and is a member of the Medallion Group, a national industry peer group.
