Zurich Names Martino Regional Vice President For Midwest Region of U.S. Middle Market Unit

Zurich North America has named Trey Martino as regional Vice President for the Midwest region of its U.S. middle market unit. He will be based in Zurich’s Chicago office and report to John Diaz, chief operating officer, U.S. middle market.

Martino will be responsible for driving the success of Zurich’s middle market book of business in the region, including cultivating distributor and customer relationships and developing underwriting talent.

He joins Zurich from Sompo International, where he most recently served as head of Asia-Pacific for Global Risk Solutions and led a team responsible for products written on both an insurance and reinsurance basis across 18 countries. His prior roles at Sompo International include global head of global risk solutions private equity and regional underwriting executive. Martino previously held leadership roles at Blackboard Insurance and Travelers.

Claro Group Adds Kate Lattner as Managing Director in Disputes & Investigations Practice

The Claro Group has added Kate Lattner as a Chicago-based managing director in its growing disputes & investigations practice.

Ms. Lattner has close to fifteen years’ experience providing expert forensic accounting, dispute consulting and damages analyses in complex litigation, commercial disputes, restructuring and bankruptcy matters, and fraud, internal and white collar investigations. Her work primarily involves breach of contract issues, lost profits, forensic accounting, working capital adjustments and earn-out analyses, intricate asset tracing analyses and solvency and fraudulent conveyance issues.

She also provides expert evaluation of complex accounting issues inclusive of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. She comes with substantial experience across a variety of industries including, but not limited to, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, retail, and food & beverage.
