People Moves: Zoidis Named CEO of Attain Insurance Companies; Wagner Joins Alliant as First VP

Atain Insurance Companies Name Chris Zoidis CEO

H.W. Kaufman Group, a privately held, global specialty insurance and financial organization, announced the promotion of Chris Zoidis to President & CEO, Atian Insurance Companies.

Zoidis began his career in commercial property and casualty underwriting before spending nearly a decade with Deloitte Consulting in the company’s insurance strategy & operations Practice. He joined Kaufman in 2007, advancing to oversee the Burns & Wilcox special risk underwriting division and expert practice groups. He also is responsible for Kaufman’s overall portfolio and relationship with the London market.

In addition to heading Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Atain, Zoidis will continue serving as a Kaufman executive vice president, guiding the company’s London strategy as well as its international businesses that span the U.K, Europe and South America.

As part of reshaping and strengthening Atain’s leadership, the company also announced the promotion of Jessalynn Suda to Vice President, reporting to Zoidis. In her role, Suda will continue leading Atain’s underwriting organization, while focusing on building its exclusive product offerings. Since joining Kaufman 15 years ago, Suda has played a significant role in Atain’s growth and strong underwriting results.

Gary Wagner Joins Alliant as a First Vice President

Gary Wagner has joined Alliant Insurance Services as a first vice president, Alliant Power, one of the 13 Alliant industry-dedicated verticals. Wagner has experience and will work with clients in all areas of power. Wagner will be responsible for managing service teams to ensure clients have creative solutions and comprehensive risk management plans.

Wagner has been in the insurance industry for 24 years with the last 13 years as an account executive focused in the power sector. His industry experience includes traditional US markets, as well as London, Bermuda and the industry-specific mutual. Prior to working for an insurance broker, Wagner worked for four years adjusting property and casualty claims in the transportation sector.

Wagner is an Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) and Associate in Claims (AIC). He is also a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha and was awarded the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska Young Agent of the Year in 2012.
