Kemper Insurance Cos. is targeting the small business market for substantial growth with a new line of specialized coverages, capitalizing on the economy’s fastest-growing segment, which generates more than $50 billion in insurance premiums a year.
The move has resulted in a line of products specifically tailored to the small business market, an upgrade in the organization’s technology infrastructure and further strengthening of its distribution and service abilities. Supporting the growth initiative are several new product introductions, including Kemper Premier, a business owners policy providing small businesses with property and liability protection that goes beyond traditional coverages.
Complimenting Premier are several policies that include special features addressing the risks of law firms, architecture and engineering firms, medical and dental offices and manufacturers. Examples of unique coverages include specific coverage for instruments, replicas, models, sculptures and drawings for architecture and engineering firms and unauthorized business card use coverage for law firms.
For small business owners requiring additional lines of coverage, Kemper’s Small Business Group is aligned with other Kemper business units in order to provide a complete insurance solution.
