InsuranceNoodle Completes Upgrades

June 21, 2001

Chicago-based InsuranceNoodle has finalized the redesign of its website, an end-to-end agency technology platform which will allow it to prosper on a national scale. The online underwriting application process for greater than 600 small business classifications was both customized and simplified.

Licensed in 40 states, Insurance Noodle is teamed with a number of insurers, including AIG, The Hartford, Kemper, The St. Paul, and Zurich.

Co-founder Robert Rudy noted that the new platform will also permit the company to rapidly introduce specialty insurance products. The company plans to add employment practices liability insurance (EPLI), specialty liability products, insurance for home-based businesses, along with a package for hi-tech consulting and software companies, in addition to other services.

Recent improvements to the products and services offered only to NoodleNetwork agencies include availability to sales and product brochures from The Hartford, Zurich and other insurers which can be downloaded and offered to clients, a Carrier Appetite Preview of possible markets for a given business classification, and updates access to MarketScout and other insurance-related websites.

Along with its website applications for small business owners, InsuranceNoodle also offers numerous “NoodleNetwork” agency members availability to a full-line agency management system for those small commercial clients.
