Aon 2001 Resource Fair Cancelled

September 14, 2001

Jerry Tegan, president and CEO of Aon Specialty Product Network, released the following statement on Sept. 12:

“As each of you know, we had a very devastating day in this country yesterday and certainly at Aon. Aon occupied several floors toward the top of the World Trade Center of Tower II.

“Due to these events, we have made a decision with only 15 days before the Resource Fair, to cancel this year’s event. We’ll be working with the hotel to see if we can reschedule this very same event for the Spring of 2002. We believe many of our invitees in this short time frame will be reluctant to get on an airplane. We appreciate everyone’s understanding.

“As it relates to canceling flights for our Resource Fair, we will handle this on our end with Carlson Wagonlit. You do not need to make any cancellations or changes. As of now, we do not have a new confirmed date for moving this event. We will notify you with new invitations, etc., when we have rescheduled.

“Once again, these are very devastating, hard to believe times. Thank you for your understanding.

“If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can be reached, as always, at (877) 275-2776. We do appreciate all of your thoughts and well wishes to our Aon family members in New York.”
