Combined Specialty Group Makes Appointments to P&C Staff

Aon Corporation made several appointments to the Property and Casualty Group of Combined Specialty Group, Inc.

John Intondi, 50, has been appointed senior vice president, Claims and will be responsible for all claims matters for the P&C Group. Intondi was previously senior vice president, Claims for Royal Specialty Underwriting and has held senior positions with Olympia Management Services, ACE USA and Westchester Specialty Group.

Michael Wisner, 42, has been appointed senior vice president, Property & Casualty Group Operations with responsibility for premium and loss transaction processing for the P&C Group. Wisner was previously senior vice president, Client Management in charge of IT applications and strategy for CNA standard lines and global business segments.

Dean Maxwell, 51, has been appointed senior vice president, Internal Audit Executive. Maxwell will be responsible for internal audit functions for all operating units of CSG. He served previously as chief auditor at ING Americas, and spent 11 years with Royal Bank of Scotland’s U.S. subsidiary Citizens Financial in various senior audit positions and eight years with Fleet Financial (now Fleet Boston) in a variety of financial roles.

Phillip S. McCrorie, 38, has been appointed vice president, Controller for the P&C Group with responsibility for finance and accounting functions. McCrorie was previously senior vice president of Gulf Insurance Group and held senior positions at United Capitol Insurance and Van-American Insurance Company.

Ed Velasquez, 45, has been appointed executive vice president, Management Liability and Professional Liability Lines and will be responsible for managing commercial and financial institution D&O, fiduciary liability, employment practices liability and miscellaneous professional liability products. Velasquez was previously senior vice president and COO for the Management Solutions Group at Zurich. Prior to that appointment, he held executive and senior management positions with Continental Pro and AIG.

Michael Flaherty, 42, has been appointed senior vice president, E & S Umbrella & Excess. His responsibilities include management of the wholesale umbrella and excess liability practice for the P&C Group. Flaherty was previously vice president, Chief Casualty Officer with Caliber One Management Company and held various positions with Royalty Specialty Underwriting and Westchester Specialty.
