Bradley, Bessette, Now EVP’s at The St. Paul Companies

The St. Paul Companies announced that Thomas Bradley, chief financial
officer, and Andy Bessette, chief administrative officer, have been named executive vice presidents in addition to their current titles.

Bradley has responsibility for all of the company’s financial and accounting
operations including corporate actuarial, tax, investor relations and corporate audit; and he also oversees information systems and ceded reinsurance. Bessette has responsibility for The St. Paul’s real estate, administrative services, telecommunications, government affairs, corporate communications, community affairs, aviation, and event management functions.

Bradley has been chief financial officer since 2001. He joined The St. Paul
in 1998 as senior vice president-finance and corporate controller, following the company’s merger with USF&G. At USF&G, he served as vice president property/liability finance and corporate controller from 1993-1998.

Bessette has been chief administrative officer of The St. Paul since January
2002. He was previously vice president of Corporate Real Estate and Services for Travelers, and during his more than 20 years there, held a variety of management positions.
