The Tillinghast business of Towers Perrin has announced that Peter Gentile has joined as national director of business development in its property/casualty insurance practice. In this newly created position, Gentile will be responsible for client relationship management in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda.
Gentile brings 30 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance and professional services to Tillinghast. Prior to joining Tillinghast, Gentile was president and CEO of Gerling Global Financial Products Inc., which focused on the production and underwriting of alternative risk transfer reinsurance and structured financial products for the Gerling Group worldwide.
Before founding Gerling Global Financial Products in 1997, he worked for the Swiss Re Group for 10 years, helping to build the firm’s reinsurance operations. As executive vice president of Swiss Re Atrium Corporation, his responsibilities included managing, structuring and underwriting Swiss Re’s U.S. finite risk reinsurance business. He was also a partner with KPMG from 1974 to 1987, where he led the firm’s insurance practice in the Northeast.
Gentile is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a master’s degree in taxation and finance from Pace University.
