The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents has announce a partnership with Learn.net to launch a new on-line CE and Professional Skills Education Center for member and non-member agents at: www.PIANET.com/Education.

The initial launch will serve Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia. Agents in these states can to access the program through their local PIA affiliate web sites or through PIA National’s web site. Additional states will be added later.

“PIA is excited to be able to offer agents and their employees the opportunity to take high-quality, low-cost on-line courses,” said PIA National President Terry Adams. “Many agents, customer service representatives and other agency personnel are simply too busy to travel to classes. Others simply prefer the convenience of taking classes at their desk, starting, stopping and then restarting courses when it’s convenient for them.”

Up to 70 CE courses and over 2,000 non-CE computer, business, and technical on-line courses may be made available to both PIA members and non-members through the new online education center.

“Participating PIA affiliates will be able to augment their existing educational programs, such as CIC, CISR, and CPSR, with top-flight online courses that are competitively priced,” Adams said. “The on-line Professional Skills courses offer agency personnel a quality, economical way to improve personal skills in areas such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, sales skills, presentation skills and much more. Agencies can utilize courses in Sexual Harassment, Diversity, etc. to meet compliance requirements.”
