Assurex Global Appoints Three Senior Executives

Columbus, Ohio-based Assurex Global has announced the appointment of three senior executives to its leadership team: Kelli K. Black, executive vice president and COO; Curt C. Anderson, vice president, finance; and Paul H. Chidester, vice president, business development. The appointments were announced by Assurex Global President and CEO, Jim Hackbarth.

Black will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Assurex Global operations. With Assurex Global since 1987, she previously held the position of vice president, partner services. In that role, Black was responsible for a broad range of services, including the planning of professional development meetings for Assurex Global’s Partners and their 20,000 employees. In addition, Black played an integral role in the strategic development of Assurex Global’s innovative new Partner Gateway Web site, and was responsible for public relations and advertising.

“Kelli Black has been a valuable member of the Assurex Global management team for the past 18 years,” said Assurex Global President and CEO Jim Hackbarth. “Her solid relationships with more than 100 international Partners, coupled with her proven ability to manage global operations makes Kelli ideally suited to assume the position of Executive Vice President and COO,” said Hackbarth.

Anderson joins the company with extensive insurance industry and public accounting experience. Previously Anderson held executive positions with Evergreen National Indemnity, GreatLand Insurance, and Auto Club Insurance. He also served as a senior auditor with Hausser & Taylor, CPAs, and KPMG Peat Marwick. A Marine Corps veteran, Anderson holds an MBA from Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chidester brings experience in insurance and other industries to his position. Prior to joining Assurex Global, Chidester held an executive position with Frank Gates Service Company, where he was responsible for maintaining relationships with insurance carriers and brokers, and expanding workers’ compensation, liability, and property insurance programs statewide and nationally. Previously, Chidester held positions with Carl Craig Company and Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, and was the founder and principal of NAPTA. Chidester holds a BA in business administration from Franklin University.
