May 10, 2005

Beazley USA, a subsidiary of the U.K.-based Beazley Group, plc, a leading Lloyd’s underwriter, announced that Jerry Sullivan is joining the company as the E&O Product Leader within Specialty Lines. He will be based in Beazley USA’s Farmington, Conn. Office, and will be responsible for the development of Beazley USA’s technology, media and miscellaneous E&O and architects/engineers professional liability business, focusing on small and mid-market accounts.

Sullivan brings 10 years of experience in these lines, gained at Executive Risk and, most recently, at Lexington Insurance Company, where he served as VP-Product Line Manager for Architects / Engineers Professional Liability, and was previously Product Line Manager for Miscellaneous E&O.

“We are very excited about Jerry joining the Beazley team,” stated Nicholas Bozzo, Specialty Lines Team Leader for Beazley USA. “His underwriting experience and business skills in the professional liability marketplace will play a significant role in furthering our objective of becoming the premier writer for specialty lines insurance in the U.S.”

The bulletin noted that “the Beazley syndicates at Lloyd’s are recognized leaders in the underwriting of E&O risks. Through the establishment of Beazley USA in 2004, Beazley is bringing advanced underwriting expertise and service capabilities closer to clients in the U.S., particularly small and mid-market clients that have not historically accessed the Lloyd’s market.”
