The Transaction Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers has named Richard L. Bennett Jr. as a director in the firm’s Insurance Risk Management Solutions (IRMS) practice. In that role, Bennett, 38, will work with the firm’s major clients in areas involving insurance and risk management advisory services.
Prior to joining PwC, Bennett worked at three of the top global insurance brokerage firms, most recently as a senior vice president / client executive, advising global clients on the management of all aspects of the cost of mitigating, transferring, retaining or avoiding risk. He began his career as a casualty and marine underwriter.
Bennett earned his Bachelor’s degree from the College of Insurance, St. John’s University, where he was valedictorian of his class. He also received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Insurance, St. John’s University and a post graduate certification in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bennett has also attained the following professional designations: CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter), ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) and an ARM (Associate in Risk Management).
