Marketing and Communications Showcase Awards Deadline is April 14

April 13, 2006

Insurance marketers from around the globe will have the opportunity to showcase their marketing achievements in the upcoming Showcase Awards competition sponsored by the Insurance Marketing Communications Association (IMCA).

The competition – now in its 48th year – features entries in 35 categories including advertising, sales promotion, multi-medium campaigns, TV/radio, the Internet, employee communications, annual reports, e-commerce, community service and public relations – to name just a few.

Open to all companies and firms involved in both the P&C and L&H segments, the competition typically attracts over 400 entries. Entrants need not be members of IMCA to enter.

Winners will be announced at the IMCA’s annual meeting, June 25-28, at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, in San Francisco.

New to the competition this year:

–The ‘Your Best Design’ award, presented by Adobe
–Segmented categories according to company size
–Policy holder communications recognition
–Campaign effectiveness/measurement award

This will be the second year that the awards are open to all firms in the industry, not just IMCA members, according to IMCA Past President, Nanci Evarts, Marketing Strategies Group. Evarts is serving on the Showcase Awards Committee, along with Cora Barran, Advertising Director, Farmers Insurance Group, and Craig Swanson, the Wahlstrom Group.

“This recognition ‘platform’ permits marketers to share, compare and learn from best practices in insurance marketing,” Evarts added. “We seek to highlight the important contributions marketing and communications efforts make to our companies’ bottom lines and to our companies’ public image and corporate culture. The awards also allow us the highlight the talents of our talented staff members.”

The deadline for materials receipt and entry is April 14, 2006. To enter, go to www.imcanet.com and download the Showcase Awards Brochure and Entry Forms. For questions about the competition and entry, contact, Temie Siebert, IMCA Executive Director at (704) 543-1776 or tseibert@imcanet.com.
