Liberty International Offers Travel Professionals’ E&O Program

Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of Liberty Mutual Group, and Travel Professionals Insurance Network (TPIN), a service of MPP Co. Inc., have partnered to offer a new travel professionals errors and omissions insurance product, which is available in 32 states and the District of Columbia.

“Travel professionals face a complex array of exposures whether they specialize in corporate or leisure travel, are large tour operators or small, retail agencies,” said Mike Auerbach, assistant vice president of professional liability at Liberty International Underwriters.

The program’s policy forms were developed by a team of travel industry insurance and professional liability specialists at TPIN and LIU.

The home-based travel agents’ policy has minimum premiums starting at $350 for $1 million in coverage.

The program is available in D.C. and the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

LIU and TPIN are working to make the program available countrywide and approvals are pending in several other states.
