The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has appointed Dan Brown to executive vice president of sales and distribution for The Hartford’s property and casualty insurance operations. In this position, Brown will be responsible for the organization’s country-wide sales and marketing efforts, as well as its national client practices business and agency expansion initiatives.
Brown, who is currently senior vice president and division manager for the property and casualty operation’s central division, will assume his new role effective immediately.
Brown started his career with The Hartford right out of college in 1989, gaining experience in various underwriting, sales, small commercial and middle market business positions. He has helped grow The Hartford’s property and casualty business in roles within the company’s western division, as well as through his current oversight of the central division.
For his new position, Brown will relocate to Hartford, Conn. to work from The Hartford’s world headquarters.
