Winners of IMCA Showcase Awards Named

State Farm received the top honor and Liberty Mutual received the most Best of Show awards at the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) 2009 Showcase Awards, held during the IMCA Annual Meeting on June 28 – July 1, at the Hyatt at Olive 8 in Seattle.

State Farm received the SAMMY Award for its “Young Driver” entry in the television advertising category. The SAMMY Award is given for the overall Best Of Show and is voted on by the attending IMCA members.

The IMCA Showcase Awards – now in its 51st year – present awards in 34 categories covering such areas as advertising, sales promotion, multimedia campaigns, TV/radio, the Internet, employee communications, annual reports, e-commerce, community service campaigns and public relations.

This year, Liberty Mutual led all companies in Best of Show honors, receiving six awards, and led all companies with nine awards overall, including three Awards of Excellence. Other multiple Best of Show winners included PEMCO Insurance, Swiss Re and State Farm Insurance with three awards, and Brownyard Group, Allied World Insurance, Fireman’s Fund and Sun Life Financial with two awards.

Other Best of Show winners included Insurance Journal, Nationwide, The Navigator’s Group Inc., Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, CNA, Erie Insurance, Closerlook, IWIF, The Main Street America Group and American Modern Insurance Group.

Multiple winners of the Awards of Excellence included PEMCO Insurance (5), Aon Affinity Insurance Services (4), State Farm Insurance (4), Liberty Mutual (3), Fireman’s Fund (3), Swiss Re (3), Grinnell Mutual (2), John Hancock Annuities (2), American Modern Insurance Group (2), Vertibrands (2), and The Hanover Insurance Group (2).

Other Awards of Excellence winners were Allied World Assurance Co., Accentmarketing, Great American Insurance, Legacy Marketing Group, Farmers Insurance Group, American Physicians, CNA, Erie Insurance, IWIF, Irwin Siegel Agency, The Tombras Group, Pro Mutual Group, and Zurich North America.
