ACE USA Restructures Retail Operations with Kinsella, Church, Stoer

Ace USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, announced a new structure and senior leadership appointments. The structure consists of two zonal operations and a centralized complex risk unit for global property programs.

Kelley Kinsella and Brian Church have been appointed senior vice presidents and zonal executives. They will establish the unit’s overall strategic underwriting direction and drive portfolio management across the nine ACE USA regions. They also will oversee regional production plans, product sales, marketing and producer management, as well as staff management and general operations. Kinsella and Church will report to Paul McNamee, president, Property and Specialty Lines, North America.

In addition, Eric Stoer has been appointed senior vice president with responsibility for all complex multinational property programs, including fronted programs, property Cashflow (captive), and Controlled Master Programs (non-captive). In his new role Stoer will work with Kinsella and Church to oversee marketing, underwriting, servicing, quality control and management for these accounts. Based in New York City, Stoer will also report to McNamee.

Based in Chicago, Kinsella’s responsibilities will include overseeing the Western Zone, including the Northwest, Western, Midwest, Southwest, and Houston regions. With more than 25 years of experience at ACE USA and an ACE predecessor company, Kinsella most recently served as senior vice president and chief operating officer for the ACE USA Midwest Region.

Based in New York City, Church will have responsibility for the Eastern Zone, encompassing the Northeast, New York, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions. With more than 10 years of experience in the insurance arena, Church joined ACE in 2005, most recently serving as vice president and regional underwriting manager for ACE USA’s Southwest and Houston Regions. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he held underwriting positions with Zurich Financial Services, C.V. Starr & Co., Inc., and Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc.

Stoer brings 14 years of experience in the global property and marine arena to this new position, having joined ACE in 2006. He most recently served as vice president, Global Account Manager for ACE USA Property and Specialty Lines. Prior to joining ACE, Stoer focused on global and national business for retail and wholesale brokers for Zurich’s New York office, and as an account manager for Aon Risk Services in its New York Global Business Unit.
