Vertafore to Launch Integrated Mobile App for Agents

October 7, 2015

Insurance agency technology vendor Vertafore said it will launch an integrated mobile application next month that will give agents access to policy, claims and billing information from their smartphone or other mobile devices.

The Vertafore Mobile App will allow agents to access and share client data and documents stored in their Veratfore agency management system when they are out of the office. For example, agents will be able to update or make changes to customer information using the mobile app, which Vertafore says should help eliminate duplicate data entry. They will also be able to access and forward documents to customers from their mobile devices.

The app will work on all Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

To address the security of policyholder information, the app allows agencies to vary the level of access for each user to sensitive customer information. It also times out if left open but unused for 15 minutes.

Agency customers of QQSolutions, Vertafore’s most recent acquisition, will have new texting functionality integrated into QQCatalyst, a system for small-to-medium size agencies. This allows these agencies to communicate with policyholders through text messaging— sending payment reminders, policy updates or even birthday wishes to any working cell phone number in the U.S.

The new app will be free for agencies using the Vertafore Agency Platform. The QQcatalyst app will also be free to download, although texting usage fees may apply.

“Mobile solutions integrated with management systems are now critical to meeting new digital priorities,” said Greg Wright, senior vice president of agency solutions at Vertafore. “Regardless of the agent’s location, our mobile apps keep agents connected to customers 24/7, helping to foster relationships and ultimately boost agency referrals. By speeding up response times, enabling more valuable customer interactions and automating processes to get information back into the management system quickly, agents will be able to grow their business and serve their customers better in the evolving insurance ecosystem.”

The Vertafore Mobile App will be generally available in November. QQCatalyst’s modern text functionalities are available now for current customers.

The new Vertafore Mobile App will replace Vertafore’s existing Producer Advantage app.

While the new app does not provide customers with access to their account information, Vertafore’s Client Portal, part of its agency system, offers customers the ability to access their account information from the device of their choosing.
